ORIJEN has released a mobile application designed to help pet owners locate pet-friendly trails across the U.S.'s national park system.

The ORIJEN Trails app provides information on pet-accessible trails in more than 100 parks across all 50 states. The application includes features such as trail recommendations, scenic overlook locations, designated rest areas for pets and owners, and calorie and mileage tracking tools.

The app launch represents an extension of ORIJEN's positioning around outdoor activities and nature exploration. The brand has established a partnership with the National Park Foundation to support education initiatives and promote responsible pet ownership within national park settings.

According to the company, most Americans live within 100 miles of a National Park, though many remain unaware of nearby locations or how to navigate park experiences with pets.

"We know pets thrive on more than just nutritious food and love to explore the world alongside their companions," said Emily Dowling, chief marketing officer at Champion Petfoods. "The ORIJEN Trails app makes it easier to discover those moments in nature, staying true to our commitment to nourishing pets with activity and WholePrey recipes that provide the protein-rich food dogs and cats were born to eat."

The ORIJEN Trails app is available as a free download at trails.orijenpetfoods.com.

According to Petfood Industry's Top Pet Food Companies, ORIJEN, owned by Champion Petfoods, has marketed its products around biologically appropriate nutrition since 2005. The brand's product portfolio includes dry food, wet food, and treat formulations positioned as high-protein options inspired by ancestral diets.
