To help make shopping for pet essentials quicker and more convenient for pet parents this holiday season, the parent company of independent brands Loyal Companion, Chuck & Don’s Pet Food & Supplies, Kriser’s Natural Pet, and Natural Pawz, referred to as Independent Pet Partners (IPP), has launched a new same-day delivery initiative via Uber Direct and enhanced a current shipping offering for Chuck & Don’s customers to get their favorite independent, exclusive brands across the country through FedEx.
“These new digital partnerships make it even easier for pet owners to purchase their pet essentials from their favorite local store, supporting their local neighborhood and communities,” said Jeff David, IPP Founder and CEO. “This is all part of our continued effort to find helpful solutions to ensure premium brands and best-in-class service is available to our customers anytime, anywhere.”
Through a company-first partnership with Uber Direct, pet parents can now receive same-day delivery of their favorite food, treats, toys, food and more – aligned to the retail brands’ ongoing wellness programs. All customers have to do is shop their favorite products online, and select “Same-Day Delivery” at check out. Products will then be picked up and dropped off on their doorstep through contactless delivery via Uber, many times within hours. Additionally, all same-day deliveries in 2021 will be powered by the Uber app so people can quickly and easily order from any mobile device.
For those traveling to warmer weather with their pets this winter, there is no need to worry about not having access to the pet essentials their pets depend on now that Chuck & Don’s, like the other independent brands, offers nationwide shipping via FedEx.
As always, customers have the option to purchase items online and request curbside or in-store pick-up. IPP also offers Autoship subscription services for pet owners to put wellness on repeat.
Extended Loyalty
In addition to providing convenient shopping and delivery options for consumers, IPP is bringing a new name and new perks to its Loyalty program. Starting in 2021, the loyalty program will be known as Wellness Pass, which pay homage to the company’s core belief in pet wellness and their creation of the 5 Pillars of Pet Wellness™, to help pets live long, healthy lives. Through the new and improved loyalty program, customers now receive up to 3 free bags of food each year, in addition to the current 5 percent back in rewards they earn on all of their purchases including all products and services. These additions make the Wellness Pass the only loyalty program of its kind – rewarding pet parents for everything they buy, to redeem on everything they want.
Maintaining Pet Wellness
The colder weather, constant home activity and holiday stress impacts more than just the people in a home. This year, IPP can help prioritize the overall wellness of pets through a series of guides and practices. The wellness practices include a series of helpful at home guides on grooming, stress relief, nutrition, indoor play and mental health, inspired by its 5 Pillars of Pet Wellness, which were developed through a collaboration between IPP and the University of Denver.
