PFI announces new board

Scott Salmon selected as chair.

The Pet Food Institute (PFI), which represents the leading dog and cat food producers in the U.S., has announced its board officers for 2025-2026, including the election of Scott Salmon, president of Simmons Pet Food, as the new chair. Salmon, who brings over 25 years of retail industry experience, steps up from his previous role as PFI board vice chair.

"I look forward to collaborating with my fellow Board members to further PFI's mission of promoting pet food safety, advocacy, and education," said Salmon.
