Purina PetCare continues leading growth in Q3 2023

Purina PetCare has been a growth leader for Nestle during the past few years.

During the first nine month of 2023, Purina PetCare sales were the largest contributor to Nestle’s organic growth. Purina PetCare has been a growth leader for Nestle during the past few years. Nestle reported the company’s nine-month sales on October 19.

Within the pet segment, Purina One, Purina Pro Plan and Felix had double-digit growth. Purina PetCare sales hit CHF 14.012 in the first three quarters of 2023, up from CHF 13.211. Real internal growth was 2.6% with organic growth of 13.1%.

In Nestle’s North American division, Purina PetCare contributed the most to Nestle’s growth. Purina PetCare reported broad-based demand across brands, segments and channels, especially in e-commerce.

Purina also added significantly to Nestle’s growth in Europe with market share gains. This growth was driven by premium brands Felix, Gourmet and Purina One.

In Oceania, Purina saw mid-single-digit growth led by Purina One, Supercoat and Felix. Purina Petcare grew by mid-single-digits in Latin America as well.

In the first three quarters of 2023, Purina gained market share in China with sales growing at double digits following new product launches and local production expansion.
