In recognition of National Volunteer Month, Post Consumer Brands employees across 18 U.S. and Canadian locations contributed more than 91,000 meals and pet food packs to support people and pets facing food insecurity. The effort was part of the company’s fourth-annual “Ingredients for Good” initiative.

The company's pet food portfolio includes brands like Nutrish, Nature's Recipe, 9Lives, Kibbles 'n Bits, and Gravy Train.

Volunteers provided over 67,000 meals and snack packs for people and more than 24,000 pet food packs. In total, more than 1,200 employees donated over 2,000 hours of service to 39 nonprofit organizations in April.

"Our 'Ingredients for Good' volunteer initiative reflects our purpose to make lives better by making delicious food accessible for all, and we are pleased to continue this tradition for our fourth year," said Nicolas Catoggio, president and CEO of Post Consumer Brands. "I'm incredibly proud of our teams' continued dedication to giving back to our local communities, not just during this month of service but year-round."

Volunteers participated in projects such as meal packing, food service, and preparing culturally relevant pantry packs and pet packs. These efforts included collaboration with the Greater Twin Cities United Way’s “Flavors of Our Community” initiative.

Post Consumer Brands also contributed more than US$300,000 (CA$410,000) in financial support to improve food access for underserved communities.

The initiative spanned locations from Lakeville, Minnesota, U.S., to Cobourg, Ontario, Canada, with remote employees also joining the cause. The company reports that, across all volunteer campaigns, employees have packed or donated more than 272,000 meals and pet food packs since the initiative began.
